We work with our patients on nutrition, sleep, supplement use and optimization of medications to find the best path forward unique to every patient.

2. How does Mission Metabolic Health monitor and support my progress?
Throughout your time with us, we offer frequent check-ins and meetings to track your physical and metabolic progress. We analyze lab trends and health metrics and adjust your plan as necessary to ensure your goals are met.

3. How does Mission Metabolic Health manage weight loss medications like GLP-1s?
For those using GLP-1 medications (such as semaglutide, tirzepetide, or liraglutide), we ensure the medication is properly titrated, side effects are managed, and your progress aligns with long-term health goals. This hands-on approach is crucial to optimizing outcomes and minimizing risks.

4. Are your plans tailored to individual needs?
Yes, our medical recommendations, nutritional plans, and training regimens are highly personalized. We consider medical conditions, nutritional knowledge, cultural preferences, religious dietary restrictions, physical ability, and orthopedic concerns to create a plan that works for you.

6. What types of health metrics does Mission Metabolic Health monitor?
We track a wide range of health metrics, including cholesterol markers, diabetes and insulin resistance assays, uric acid, hepatic labs, cardio/respiratory capacity, body composition, and continuous glucose monitoring. Advanced cancer screening including whole body MRI and liquid biopsy are offered and most importantly followed up on. This comprehensive monitoring allows us to detect trends and make proactive adjustments to your plan.

7. How do you address sleep optimization?
Sleep is a critical component of health. We work with patients with specific interventions and may test for sleep apnea when appropriate. Addressing sleep issues can enhance overall metabolic performance and improve your health span.
8. Do you take insurance?
We do accept insurance and patient membership fees for this model are designed to be funded by pre-tax and/or employer funds (HSA, HRA, FSA, and MSA funding, and deductible self-employed funding). While you should work with your tax expert and/or benefits program advisor, our fees are designed to constitute “qualified medical expenses” so you can utilize tax-advantaged funding.

9. What if my insurance doesn’t cover weight loss or other medications?
If your insurance company is unwilling to cover weight loss or other medications, we can help. We work with insurance providers to secure coverage whenever possible, and if not, we offer safe, effective, and affordable alternatives.
